#HRSocialHour: Innovation in the Workplace

The workplace has been asked to do more with less for a long time now – as long as I’ve been in the workplace anyway. I think part of it is as we move away from a production-based work environment to a more thought-based work environment, production is harder to quantify, harder to measure. We are typically tasked with trying to figure out how to do things better, so we look for ways to complete our work. We try systems like lean or six sigma to help people get out of their rut of “the way we’ve always done it.”

What I love about reaching out to the #HRTribe for ideas is you will always find something you can use. A quick tweet can get you many ideas quickly. And so we thought it would be great to put it in a Twitter Chat to see how many great ideas we can get and also how to help others overcome obstacles within the office.

Join us on Sunday, March 25, 7 p.m. ET following the #HRSocialHour chat. Bring a friend! We look forward to seeing you there. We’ve got the questions all set so you can be prepared:

Q1. What’s in your glass?
Q
2. How are you doing with the resolutions you brought up in our January chat? If you weren’t there, did you make any resolutions that you’re keeping?
Q3. Who do you look to as an innovator in HR?
Q4. What’s one thing you’ve done or want to do that you believe is innovative for HR in your workplace?
Q5. What barriers have you run into trying to innovate at work? How do you work through them?
Q6. How else can those of us who take part in #HRSocialHour help you right now?

We’ll see you on Sunday!
